MOSCOW, 16 Jan – Biathlete Anton Babikov became the winner of the super sprint at the fifth stage of the Russian Cup, which takes place in Demin (Yaroslavl region).

Babikov covered the distance of 5 km in 23 minutes 19.9 seconds, with three misses on four firing lines. Second place went to Karim Khalili (lag – 1.4 seconds; 1 miss). On the third line is Matvey Eliseev (+25.1; 1). The bronze medalist of the 2014 Olympic Games in Sochi Evgeny Garanichev showed the seventh result (+1.09.6; 5).

The fifth stage of the Russian Cup will end on Monday with the women’s super sprint.
