Former veteran bowler Curtly Ambrose has also reacted to Sanjay Manjrekar’s comment regarding Ravichandran Ashwin (R. Ashwin). He has said that everyone has a different point of view of seeing greatness. According to Ambrose, we should be very careful about the word greatness.
Ambrose reacted to Sanjay Manjrekar’s statement on the show Curtly and Karisma. He said about this,
We all have our different opinion. Everyone sees greatness in a different way. Sanjay Manjrekar was a very good cricketer. They have their own opinion about this and we all have our own views. But how you would define greatness is a good question. Because sometimes it happens that we use this word anywhere, so we should be very careful about it. According to me, a player becomes great only when he continues to perform tremendously for his team for many years in a row.

Sanjay Manjrekar had said that Ashwin does not come in the list of great players
Let us tell you that Sanjay Manjrekar had said that he does not keep Ravichandran Ashwin in the category of great players. According to him, Ashwin’s record in the army countries (South Africa, England, New Zealand and Australia) has not been good. At the same time, even in Indian conditions, he has not been able to perform as well as his fellow players.
There were a lot of reactions after his statement. Abhinav Mukund, who played Test matches for India, supported Ashwin and said that he is a brilliant cricketer. On the other hand, Dinesh Karthik also supported Ashwin. Ashwin himself had replied to Manjrekar through a meme.
