The Indian team for the Sri Lanka tour has been announced. Many young players who have performed well in the IPL have been included in this team. However, former cricketer Deep Dasgupta believes that there were two players who did not find a place in the team and should be included.
Five net bowlers have also been selected for the Sri Lanka tour. It also includes Arshdeep Singh of Punjab Kings who has impressed everyone with his bowling in the IPL. However, Deep Dasgupta believes that there were two more players who should have got a place in the team.
Deep Dasgupta named two important players
Deep Dasgupta talked about these two players on his YouTube channel. He said fast bowler Jaydev Unadkat and spin all-rounder Rahul Tewatia should have also been included in the team.
He said, “It has become very easy to select the team in this era of corona virus. There are a total of six matches on this tour including three T20s and three ODIs and you have selected a team of 20-25 players, including five net bowlers. You could have included some more players also, what have they done wrong? Players like Jaydev Unadkat and Rahul Tewatia should have been given a chance. What difference would it have made if you had taken a team of 27 players instead of 25. Me Jaydev Unadkat Very much liked because he works hard. He has done well in Ranji Trophy as well.”
Indian team for Sri Lanka tour is as follows
