MOSCOW, Jan 5 – Fans of the Tampa Bay Lightning have chosen Russian forward Nikita Kucherov as the team’s best player in December, according to the official website of the National Hockey League (NHL) club from Florida.

Kucherov played 13 regular NHL games for Tampa in December, scoring 18 points (3 goals + 15 assists).

The Russian is the Lightning’s top scorer this season with 54 (13 assists 41) points and is also number one on the NHL’s all-time assist list.
