Gadzhiev called the reasons for the departure of Khabib Nurmagomedov from MMA

The head of Fight Nights Gadzhiev believes that Khabib Nurmagomedov left MMA due to burnout

MOSCOW, 8 Jan — AMC Fight Nights League President Kamil Gadzhiev commented on the departure of former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov from the mixed martial arts (MMA) industry.
On Saturday, Nurmagomedov wrote on social networks that he said goodbye to his team. Earlier, the media reported that he intends to end his coaching career and finally leave the MMA industry.
Gadzhiev also answered the question that religion could be the reason for Nurmagomedov’s departure from MMA.
In October 2020, Nurmagomedov announced the end of his professional career. The Russian left the sport undefeated with 29 victories.
After that, Khabib took up coaching. Under his leadership, compatriot Islam Makhachev became the UFC lightweight champion in 2022, and his cousin Usman Nurmagomedov won the Bellator belt in the same weight category.
