MOSCOW, 11 Mar – Russian tennis player Varvara Gracheva advanced to the third round of the WTA 1000 tournament in Indian Wells (USA), the prize pool of which is $8.8 million.
Gracheva in the second round beat the 25th racket of the tournament Croatian Petra Martic with a score of 6:3, 6:2. Tennis players spent 1 hour and 14 minutes on the court.

Gracheva’s next opponent could be her compatriot Daria Kasatkina (8th seed), who will face Germany’s Tatyana Maria in the second round.
Gracheva is ranked 66th in the ranking of the best tennis players in the world. Last week, the 22-year-old Russian reached the WTA singles final for the first time in her career. In the final of the tournament in Austin (USA) on March 5, Gracheva lost to Ukrainian Marta Kostyuk.
