MOSCOW, March 12 – Sochi hockey club striker Artem Ivanyuzhenkov has been arrested on suspicion of murder, REN TV reports.
The murder took place in Podolsk. The deceased was 23 years old. The motive for the crime is not yet clear. The young man is currently under interrogation.
Artem Ivanyuzhenkov is the son of a State Duma deputy from the Communist Party of the Russian Federation Boris Ivanyuzhenkov. In the Continental Hockey League, he played 105 matches and scored 5 points (1 goal + 4 assists).
In 2020, in Podolsk, Artem Ivanyuzhenkov’s car hit a cyclist to death. It was later established that Ivanyuzhenkov became ill.
