Former UFC champion Khabib Nurmagomedov said goodbye to his team
MOSCOW, Jan 7 – Former Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov posted on social media that he said goodbye to his team.
Earlier, the media reported that Nurmagomedov intends to end his coaching career and finally leave the mixed martial arts industry.
In October 2020, Nurmagomedov announced the end of his professional career. The Russian left the sport undefeated with 29 victories.
After that, Khabib took up coaching. Under his leadership, compatriot Islam Makhachev became the UFC lightweight champion in 2022, and his cousin Usman Nurmagomedov won the Bellator belt in the same weight category.
