MOSCOW, 10 Jan – The Supreme Court of Catalonia has opened a case on charges of sexual harassment against former Barcelona footballer and World Cup participant in Qatar in the Brazilian national team Dani Alves, according to L’Equipe.
As previously reported by the media, a woman, whose name was not disclosed, filed a police report against a 39-year-old defense lawyer on charges of sexual assault. According to her, the incident occurred in one of the nightclubs in Barcelona on December 30.
According to the source, the Barcelona Court of First Instance initiated the proceedings following a complaint filed by the alleged victim with the police on 2 January. The player himself completely denies his guilt.
