Kruger won the mass start at the World Cup, Norwegian skiers made the top ten
MOSCOW, 11 Mar – Norwegian Simen Kruger became the winner of the mass start at the World Cup in cross-country skiing, which takes place in Oslo.
The first ten were Norwegian skiers. At a distance of 50 km, Kruger showed the result of 1 hour 55 minutes 1.5 seconds. The silver medalist was Hans Christer Holund (5.7 seconds back), the bronze medalist was Martin Nienge (+12.6). The leader of the overall standings, five-time Olympic champion Johannes Klebo finished seventh (+1.45.1).
The International Ski and Snowboard Federation (FIS) due to the situation in Ukraine suspended the Russians and Belarusians from the final starts of last season. In October, the FIS Council extended the suspension for the 2022/23 season.
