Ovechkin scores 810th NHL goal to cut Gretzky’s gap to 84 goals

MOSCOW, 15 Jan – Russian forward “Washington Capitals” Alexander Ovechkin reduced the backlog of Canadian Wayne Gretzky in the list of the best scorers in the championships of the National Hockey League (NHL) in history to 84 goals.
In a regular season match against the Philadelphia Flyers, Ovechkin scored an abandoned puck. The Russian, ranked second in the ranking of the best scorers in the history of the NHL, brought his total number of goals to 810.
Wayne Gretzky is the league record holder. On account of the Canadian 894 goals in 1487 matches.
