Rahul Dravid on India’s tremendous bench-strength

For the tour of Sri Lanka, the head coach of the Indian team, Rahul Dravid, has given a big reaction about the team’s bench strength. He has said that whenever a player used to go on India A tour with him, he used to tell him that if you have come on this tour, then you will go after playing the match and that is probably the reason why the team’s bench strength is so good.

Rahul Dravid is currently the head of the National Cricket Academy. Apart from this, he has also coached India A and Under-19 team. During this, he made the careers of many young cricketers. This is the reason why the bench strength of the Indian team is so strong today. Under the leadership of Rahul Dravid, the Indian team won the 2018 Under-19 World Cup title.

Rahul Dravid’s statement about the Indian team

In ESPN Cricinfo on The Cricket Monthly, he said,

I used to tell the young players directly that if you are coming with me on the India A tour, then you will not have to go back without playing a match. When I was young, my own experience in this matter was very bad. It feels bad to not get a chance to go on the India A tour. You have done well, you have scored 700-800 runs and you are not getting any chance to showcase your talent.

Let us tell you that the Indian team for Sri Lanka tour has been announced. All the young players have got a chance in this team.
