Sychevoi denied reports of a requirement to obtain Ukrainian citizenship from Bundesliga clubs

MOSCOW, Jan 17 — The Russian striker of the football club “Wings of the Soviets” Vladimir Sychevoi did not receive offers from clubs from the Bundesliga.
Earlier it was reported that the player was negotiating with clubs from Germany, but the transition did not take place, as the player was required to change citizenship to Ukrainian.
The striker began the current season of the Russian Premier League as part of Orenburg, and in December last year he signed a contract for three and a half years with the Krylya Sovetov club. According to the results of the first part of the championship, Sychevoi shares the lead in the scorers race with Quincy Promes.
Sychevoi is a native of Simferopol, he took part in the matches of the children’s and youth football league of Ukraine as part of the team of the Olympic Reserve School. In the period from 2016 to 2020, he played for the Krymteplitsa club, which plays in the Premier League of the Crimean Football Union. In November last year, Sychevoi made his debut for the Russian national team in a friendly match against Tajikistan (0:0).
