Hockey “Tampa” Stamkos scored the 500th goal in his career in the NHL championships

MOSCOW, 19 Jan – Canadian forward and Tampa Bay Lightning captain Steven Stamkos has hit 500 goals in the National Hockey League (NHL) championships.
In the game against the Vancouver Canucks, the Canadian scored a goal, opening the scoring. This puck was his 500th in his career. It took him 965 matches to reach this mark.
Stamkos became the first player in Tampa history to score 500 goals. The Canadian also became one of the best scorers in NHL history and became the 47th player to reach 500 goals. Among active league shooters, Stamkos is third behind Washington Capitals captain Alexander Ovechkin (810 goals) and Pittsburgh Penguins forward Sidney Crosby (538).
