French Football Federation chief Noel Le Grae apologizes to Zidane
MOSCOW, Jan 9 – The President of the French Football Federation (FFF), Noel Le Grae, apologized to Zinedine Zidane for saying that he would not negotiate with him on the appointment of the head coach of the national team.
Earlier media reported that Zidane could lead the French national team after the World Cup in Qatar, but the FFF on Saturday announced a contract extension with the current head coach of the national team Didier Deschamps.
The Spanish “Real”, which Zidane led in 2016-2018 and from March 2019 to May 2021, condemned the words of the head of the FFF.
As part of the French national team, Zidane became the world and European champion. With the “creamy” Zidane won the Champions League three times, twice – the championship of Spain, the Super Cup of the country, the Club World Cup and the UEFA Super Cup.
