Tim Tszyu about the fight with Charlo for the title of absolute world champion: I made it clear, I’m going to America
MOSCOW, 12 Mar – Tim Tszyu said that he plans to meet the American Jermell Charlo in the next fight and become the absolute world boxing champion.
On Sunday, Tim Tszyu, the son of former undisputed light welterweight boxing world champion Konstantin Tszyu, defeated American Tony Harrison and became the holder of the interim World Boxing Organization (WBO) light middleweight title. On account of the 28-year-old Tszyu, 22 wins (16 by knockout) and not a single defeat.
“Australia, you know my name, now the whole world knows,” Tszyu added.
In January, Tszyu was supposed to fight Charlo for the title of undisputed light middleweight champion of the world, but his opponent was forced to postpone the defense of the title due to a broken arm.
Charlo is 32 years old, he is the World Boxing Council (WBC), World Boxing Association (WBA Super), International Boxing Federation (IBF) and World Boxing Organization (WBO) light middleweight champion.
