MOSCOW, 26 Aug – Canadian tennis player Bianca Andreescu has withdrawn from the US Open tennis championship, which will be held in New York, according to the official account of the tournament in the social network X (former Twitter social network).
Her place in the main draw of the tournament will be replaced by a qualified tennis player or lucky loser. The main draw matches at the US Open will start on Monday.
Earlier, Andreescu missed the WTA 1000 tournament in Cincinnati, USA. Then she was diagnosed with a back injury.
Andreescu is 23 years old, she is the 51st racket of the world and the champion of the US Open in 2019.
