MOSCOW, 25 Nov – Russian forward of the Washington Capitals National Hockey League (NHL) club, Alexander Ovechkin, became the capital’s record-holder in terms of points scored in the first 20 games of the season.
In the regular season match with the Montreal Canadiens, Ovechkin made three assists. According to the “goal + pass” system, the 36-year-old Russian scored 33 points (15 + 18). This is the best record in franchise history.
Match “Washington” – “Montreal” ended in victory for the hosts with a score of 6: 3. As part of the “Capitals”, Russian forward Yevgeny Kuznetsov and defender Dmitry Orlov scored one goal each.
