Former opener Aakash Chopra has named the four semi-finalist teams of the T20 World Cup. He told which four teams can reach the semi-finals of the upcoming T20 World Cup.

During the question-and-answer session on his Twitter handle, Aakash Chopra told which are the four teams which are the contenders for going to the semi-finals this time. The surprising thing is that out of these four teams, three teams had reached the semi-finals in the last World Cup as well.

Aakash Chopra said that India, England, West Indies and Pakistan can make it to the semi-finals of the T20 World Cup. India and Pakistan are in Group 2, while West Indies and England are in Group 1. Aakash Chopra sidelined teams like New Zealand, South Africa and Australia.

T20 World Cup will start from October 17

Let us tell you that the T20 World Cup will start in Oman from 17 October and the final match will be held in Dubai on 14 November. The tournament will start with Round 1 and the first match will be played between hosts Oman and Papua New Guinea on 17 October.

In the first round, 8 teams will play to make it to the Super 12. Ireland, Netherlands, Sri Lanka and Namibia have been placed in Group A, while Group B consists of Oman, PNG, Scotland and Bangladesh. Only the top 2 teams from each group will enter the second round i.e. Super 12.

Super 12 will have two Groups 1 and 2 and its first match will be played in Group 1 between Australia and South Africa in Dubai on 23 October. The second match will be played between England and West Indies on the same day. At the same time, the first match of Group 2 will be played between India and Pakistan on 24 October. The semi-finals will be played on November 10 and 11, while the final will take place on November 14 at the Dubai International Stadium.
