MOSCOW, 20 Jul – AC Milan player Tiemoue Bakayoko has criticized the Italian police who stopped and searched his car.
Earlier, the media circulated a video filmed by bystanders, which shows how a police officer pointed a gun at a car interior. At the same time, her colleague searched the football player, placing the athlete at the door of his car. After some time, a third policeman approached them and talked about something with a colleague – after a few words, the search guard was very surprised, patted Bakayoko on the back and let him go. Later, the police said that the car was stopped at the post, as Bakayoko and another passenger fit the description of the criminals who received the orientation.
“The authorities in Milan said that the detention was a mistake. Mistakes are common to people, but I have questions about how it was done. Why didn’t the police demand documents for a car, an identity card? The gun was a meter away from me, they put our lives in danger What would happen if I refused to comply with their demands? – quotes the words of Bakayoko Milan Posts on Twitter with a link to the athlete’s video message on Instagram (Meta’s activities (social networks Facebook and Instagram) are banned in Russia as extremist).
