Three-time Gagarin Cup winner Tokranov returned to Ak Bars Kazan

MOSCOW, May 12 – Kazan “Ak Bars” signed a contract with defender Vasily Tokranov, according to the website of the team of the Continental Hockey League (KHL).
The agreement with the hockey player, who played for the club from the capital of Tatarstan from the 2007/08 season to 2018, is for two years.
“I am very happy with the Ak Bars offer and happy to return. I even shook when I signed. The decisive factor is the return home, my family is here, and everyone in it was delighted to learn about the contract with Ak Bars. My goal is spend the season fully and at a high level and try to win the Gagarin Cup,” the hockey player said.
Tokranov is 32 years old. He is a three-time Gagarin Cup winner with Ak Bars. From 2018 to 2022, he played for SKA St. Petersburg. In total, the defender played 432 games in the KHL, in which he scored 136 (36 + 100) points with a usefulness index of “+45”.
