Alpin’s driver Alonso showed the best result in the third practice of the Canadian Grand Prix
MOSCOW, June 18 – Two-time world champion Spanish Alpin racer Fernando Alonso showed the best result in the third free practice of the ninth round of the Formula 1 World Championship – the Canadian Grand Prix, which takes place in Montreal at the Gilles Villeneuve circuit.
Alonso in rain conditions drove his best lap in 1 minute 33.836 seconds. Alfa Tauri’s Frenchman Pierre Gasly is second (0.053 seconds back), while Aston Martin’s German Sebastian Vettel is third (+0.055).
The reigning world champion and leader of the championship of the Dutch Red Bull pilot Max Verstappen has the ninth time (+0.780), the seven-time champion of the “royal races” Briton Lewis Hamilton (Mercedes) showed the 15th result (+1.856).
Qualifying for the ninth round of the Formula 1 World Championship will take place later on Saturday. The race will take place on Sunday, starting at 21:00 Moscow time.
