MOSCOW, 18 Sep – Mexican boxer Saul Alvarez, after defeating Kazakhstani Gennady Golovkin, announced his intention to take revenge on Russian Dmitry Bivol.
Bivol defended his World Boxing Association (WBA Super) light heavyweight title for the third time in Las Vegas (USA) on May 8, defeating Alvarez by unanimous decision. After the fight, the Mexican demanded a rematch. On November 5, the undefeated Russian will defend his title against the Mexican Gilberto Ramirez.
Alvarez on Saturday in Las Vegas defeated Golovkin by unanimous decision in their third fight and defended the world titles according to the World Boxing Association (WBA Super), World Boxing Organization (WBO), World Boxing Council (WBC) and International Boxing Federation (IBF) Super Middleweight.
Alvarez is 32 years old. On account of the Mexican 58 wins (39 by knockout) with two defeats (from Bivol and Floyd Mayweather Jr.) and two draws.
