continues to live up to his “goal machine” reputation, scoring his second hat-trick in a week. In Manchester City’s 3-1 win over West Ham, ‘s superb performance marked his second consecutive hat-trick in the Premier League.

This made Haaland, 24, the first player since 1994 to score hat-tricks in two of his side’s first three games of the season, surpassing the previous record held by Bradford’s Paul Jewell.

Haaland has been on fire since the start of the 2024-25 season. He scored once against Chelsea in the opening game, followed by three goals against Ipswich Town last week.

In the match against West Ham, Haaland opened the scoring in the 10th minute. Although Ruben Diaz’s own goal leveled the match nine minutes later, Haaland put City back in the lead with another goal in the 30th minute.

The Norwegian star completed his hat-trick in the 80th minute, dribbling from midfield, bypassing the goalkeeper and slotting the ball into the net.

Haaland’s tally now stands at seven goals in just three matches this season, and an incredible 70 goals in 69 Premier League appearances, averaging more than a goal per game.

Manchester City has climbed to the top of the table with nine points from three matches, while Brighton sits in second place with seven points. City’s next league match is against Brentford on September 14.
