MOSCOW, 26 Aug – Argentinean diver Auca Liue Sosa will not be able to compete at the University Sports Festival in Yekaterinburg due to a head injury sustained in training, according to a press release from the organizing committee.

Sosa, who was supposed to represent the National University of Mar del Plata, hit her head while training at the Aquatics Palace. The sportswoman was promptly assisted by the staff of the festival medicine department, as well as the city’s ambulance station.

The Argentine was promptly hospitalized and was under the supervision of doctors for several days. After returning to the sports village of the festival, Alexander Chernov, head of the competition directorate, met with her and presented her with memorable gifts with the symbols of the tournament and the city.

Sosa noted that she feels good, and what happened at the training did not spoil her impressions of the festival and Yekaterinburg.
