The suicide of Sushant Singh Rajput, the Bollywood actor, has shaken the entire nation. It is believed that he was a victim of depression and the reason was Bollywood’s nepotism.
However, after this painful accident, these days mental health and nepotism are being talked about openly. Not only Bollywood, voices have started coming in from every field.
Bengal cricketer Ashok Dinda has even said that the situation that Sushant Singh Rajput went through is everywhere. He told himself that he is mentally strong and cannot break.
Actually, Dinda was dropped midway due to disciplinary reasons during the last season of Ranji Trophy. Fast bowler Ashok Dinda called himself a victim of Bengal cricket politics and said that he will make a strong comeback with a new team this season.
Dinda, the highest wicket-taker for Bengal after Utpal Chatterjee, was dropped from the team after a bitter clash with bowling coach Ranadeb Bose. Bengal made it to the finals leaving behind the controversy and were runners-up.
Dinda told PTI-language that some of his teams were in talks and he would soon apply for a no-objection certificate to the Bengal Cricket Association (CAB). Dinda, who took 420 wickets in 116 first-class matches, said that I will not be a part of the Bengal team, it is for sure. I made this decision only in the last session. This is my personal issue.
He said that everyone saw what era Sushant Singh Rajput had gone through. It is the same everywhere, but I am mentally strong and I cannot break down due to anyone. Dinda, who played 13 ODIs and nine T20 internationals for India, said that I will play for any other state.
Discussions are going on with some of my teams but I have not decided yet which team I will represent in next season. Dinda is accused of using abusive words for Bengal bowling coach Bose. Bose is a former Bengal fast bowler who took 317 wickets in 91 matches. Dinda refused to apologize and was also accused of creating differences within the team.
He said that I am not happy to play here with this coaching staff. The way I was treated. I do not want to say anything. I gave my best to them and now I am of no use. This world is selfish. He said that I will definitely miss the home team. I missed it last year too, but I have a good relationship with my former colleagues. Dinda said that sometimes I also talk to Dada (Sourav Ganguly).
