MOSCOW, 24 July – U.S. Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) fighter Curtis Blaydes defeated Britain’s Tom Aspinall in a heavyweight bout at UFC Fight Night 208.
The main fight of the evening, which took place in London, ended in the first seconds of the opening round. After Aspinall’s low kick to the opponent’s thigh, he fell to the floor and grabbed his knee. Referee Herb Dean stopped the bout. The victory was awarded to the American by technical knockout.
Blades is 31 years old. This victory was his 17th with three defeats. The 29-year-old Aspinall now has three losses and 12 wins.
