Bayern Munich star Davies shows signs of myocarditis after contracting COVID-19

MOSCOW, 14 Jan – Bayern Munich head coach Julian Nagelsmann has said defender Alphonso Davies has shown signs of myocarditis after contracting the coronavirus.
The football player will miss the match of the 19th round of the German championship against Cologne, which will be held on January 15.
“In Alfonso’s case, we did a follow-up test yesterday, which we do for every player after the coronavirus, and found signs of mild myocarditis, that is, inflammation of the heart muscle. He will not train until further notice. He will not be available in the coming weeks. Ultrasound shows that myocarditis is not so dramatic, but there are signs of it, ”the Bayern website quotes Nagelsmann as saying.
In the current season of the championship of Germany, Davis took part in 16 matches, in which he scored four assists.
