Badosa lost to the 169th racket of the world in the second round of the tournament in Eastbourne

MOSCOW, June 21 – Spanish tennis player Paula Badosa failed to reach the third round of the WTA 500 grass tournament in Eastbourne, Britain, whose prize fund exceeds $750,000.
In the second round meeting, Badosa (4th in the WTA rankings), who received the first seeding number, lost to the 169th racket of the world, British Jody Burrage with a score of 4:6, 3:6. The duration of the match was 1 hour 13 minutes.
In the third round, Burrage will face Brazil’s Beatriz Haddad-Maya.
Players from Russia and Belarus have been banned from playing at grass tournaments in the UK under the auspices of the Lawn Tennis Association (LTA) due to the situation in Ukraine.
