MOSCOW, 27 Aug – Samara football club “Wings of the Soviets” beat the Kaliningrad “Baltika” in the match of the sixth round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).
The meeting in Samara ended with the score 2:1 in favor of the hosts. Sergey Babkin (52nd minute) and Georgy Zotov (90+1) scored goals as part of the winners. Tamerlan Musaev scored at Baltika (88).
“Wings of the Soviets”, scoring 11 points in 6 matches, climbed to fourth place in the standings. Kaliningraders with 3 points are on the penultimate, 15th line. For the team of Sergei Ignashevich, this defeat was the fifth in the current championship and the third in a row.
