MOSCOW, 20 Jul – Football club “Barcelona” redeemed from the German “Bayern” striker Robert Lewandowski, according to the website of the “blue garnet”.
The contract with the 33-year-old Pole is for four years, the transfer cost the Catalans 45 million euros and 5 million euros in bonuses. The release clause, as with the transfers of defender Andreas Christensen and midfielder Frank Kessier, will be 500 million euros.
Lewandowski joined Bayern Munich in 2014 from Borussia Dortmund. As part of the Munich club, he played 375 matches, scored 344 goals and became the champion of Germany eight times. In 2020, he won the Champions League, the UEFA Super Cup and the Club World Cup. As part of the Polish national team, Lewandowski played 132 matches in which he scored 76 goals, he is the top scorer in the history of the national team. The striker was named the best player in the world according to the International Football Federation in 2020 and 2021.
