MOSCOW, 19 Sep – Las Vegas defeated Connecticut in the fourth game of the final series of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA).
The meeting ended with a score of 78:71 (16:12, 14:16, 23:21, 25:22) in favor of Las Vegas. Las Vegas defender Chelsea Gray led the game with 20 points, a double-double on her teammate Aija Wilson’s (11 points, 14 rebounds). Courtney Williams scored the most points for Connecticut (17 points), while Alyssa Thomas scored a triple-double (11 points, 10 rebounds, 11 assists).
The score in the best-of-three series was 3-1 in favor of Las Vegas.
“Las Vegas” for the third time in history played in the finals of the WNBA and became the champion for the first time. “Connecticut” in the 4th time lost in the final series.
