Benzema: We lacked ambition, pressure and confidence

MOSCOW, 27 April – Real Madrid’s Karim Benzema said his team lacked ambition, pressure and confidence in the Champions League’s first leg against Manchester City.
The meeting, held at the home stadium of the English team, ended with the score 4:3 in favor of the hosts. Benzema scored a brace.
“Losing is never good because we are really excited to play in the Champions League. The main thing is that we do not give up and are ready to go to the end. Now we have to go to Madrid. We need our fans more than ever. We are going to do something magical, We lacked a bit of everything in this match – ambition, pressure, confidence,” Benzema was quoted as saying by the UEFA website, citing Movistar Plus.
The second leg of the 1/2 finals will be held on May 4 in Madrid.
