Boxer Mayweather Jr says he’s in talks with McGregor to fight in 2023

MOSCOW, 21 Sep – Former world boxing champion in five weight categories, American Floyd Mayweather Jr. said that he was in talks with the former champion of the Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) in two divisions Irishman Conor McGregor about holding a second fight in 2023.
In August 2017, Mayweather defeated McGregor by TKO in the tenth round. Then Internet users purchased a paid broadcast (pay-per-view) of the fight 6.5 million times, the cost of one broadcast was $99.99, the amount of fees exceeded $80 million.
Mayweather is 45 years old, the American remains an undefeated boxer, in 50 fights he has 50 wins (27 by knockout). McGregor is 34 years old. In July 2021, he suffered a broken leg in a duel against American Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 and has not fought since. He has 22 wins and six losses to his credit and previously held the UFC championship belts in the lightweight and featherweight divisions.
