Boxer Tyson Fury calls out Anthony Joshua

MOSCOW, 5 Sep – World Boxing Council (WBC) world champion Tyson Fury has challenged his compatriot Anthony Joshua to a fight.
Fury intends to fight next in December 2022. Earlier, the Daily Mail reported that Fury should fight Ukrainian Oleksandr Usyk. The duel was planned to be held in Saudi Arabia the day before the final of the World Cup in Qatar – December 17. On Sunday, Fury said he was ready to fight Joshua if the Usyk fight fell through.
“I think you heard that I am going to fight in the next few months. Anthony Joshua, I know that you just lost to Usyk and now you have no fights planned. I want to give you the opportunity to fight me for the WBC world title heavyweight and for the WBC heavyweight title in the next few months.You had a 12 round fight so you’re in shape, you’re ready.I’ll give you a few months to prepare.If you’re interested, I’ll let you know date and we can face off. Let me know if you’re interested, if not, I’ll choose another opponent,” Fury said in a video posted on his Twitter.
Fury is 34 years old, in April the Briton knocked out compatriot Dillian Whyte and defended the WBC title for the second time in a row, remaining undefeated (32 wins and one draw). He has repeatedly announced his retirement. Joshua, 32, has 24 wins and three losses to his credit, the last two of which he suffered against Usyk.
