Neymar to miss Brazil’s next World Cup game due to injury

MOSCOW, 25 Nov – Brazilian footballer Neymar will miss the team’s next match at the World Cup due to injury, according to the Brazilian Football Confederation website.

On Thursday, Neymar sprained his ankle in a match against Serbia. The Group G meeting at Lusail Ikonik Stadium ended with a score of 2:0 in favor of the Brazilians. Neymar appeared on the field in the starting lineup and was replaced in the 79th minute of the meeting.

Also defender Danilo will not play in the next match. He has a medial ligament injury in his left ankle. It is noted that the Brazilian national team continues to rely on both players.

Brazilians in the second round of the group stage of the tournament will play on November 28 with the Swiss national team.
