MOSCOW, 6 Aug – Anton Adarichev, a pupil of the Kazan football club Rubin, killed his father because of sports betting, Business Online reports.
The tragedy occurred on August 3 in Naberezhnye Chelny. According to investigators, the 62-year-old father of the ex-football player Valery Adarichev, who served as deputy director of the technology center of PJSC KAMAZ, discovered the absence of a TV in the apartment, which, presumably, his son handed over to a pawnshop to get money for a bet. Because of this, an argument broke out between relatives, which escalated into a fight. Anton inflicted several fatal stab wounds on his father, and then stabbed his mother who had returned home with a knife in the stomach.
After the pupil of “Rubin” took the parents’ bank card and withdrew 400 thousand rubles from it, but then he took the wounded mother to the hospital and tried to escape. Adarichev was detained on the evening of August 3 by the traffic police after a long pursuit. Inside the car, they found things with traces of blood and a bag with money.
The court sent Adarichev to a pre-trial detention center for two months. Before the meeting, during a conversation with a journalist, he stated that he partially admits his guilt, since “he did not have a goal to kill.” Previously, Adarichev was convicted. In 2021, he received a year and a half on probation under Part 3 of Art. 158 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Theft committed from a bank account”).
