MOSCOW, 23 Jul – Forward Matthew Tkachuk moved to the Florida Panthers, according to the club’s website of the National Hockey League (NHL).
The agreement with the 24-year-old striker is calculated until 2030. He came from the Calgary Flames in exchange for forward Jonathan Huberdeau and defenseman Mackenzie Wigar. Calgary will also receive a first-round pick in the 2025 NHL Entry Draft.
Tkachuk in the NHL played 431 games and scored 382 points (152 goals and 230 assists), he represented Calgary in 2016, he was selected in the draft under the overall sixth number. As part of the US junior team, he became the world champion (2015).
Huberdeau is 29 years old and has 613 points (198 assists 415) in 671 league games. He played for Florida since 2012, was selected by the club in the 2011 draft under the overall third number. As part of the Canadian youth team, he became the bronze medalist of the World Championship (2012).
