MOSCOW, 28 Sep – Neftekhimik signed a contract with Canadian forward Hunter Shinkaruk, according to the Telegram channel of the Nizhnekamsk hockey club.
The agreement with the 27-year-old player is calculated until the end of the current season. In the 2021/22 season, the striker played for Dynamo Riga and the Swedish XB71. In total, Shinkaruk played 105 games in the KHL and scored 52 points (20 goals + 32 assists).

Shinkaruk was selected 24th overall by the Vancouver Canucks in the first round of the 2013 NHL Entry Draft. In the main overseas league, Shinkaruk played 15 matches and scored 4 points (2+2).
