The Carolinas beat Boston to take the lead in the first-round NHL playoff series.
MOSCOW, May 11 – The Carolina Hurricanes defeated the Boston Bruins in the fifth game of the National Hockey League (NHL) first round playoff series.
The meeting, which took place in Raleigh, ended with a score of 5:1 (2:0, 1:0, 2:1) in favor of the hosts of the site. Jacob Slavin (7th minute), Tony DeAngelo (13th), Seth Jarvis (36th, 44th) and Vincent Trochek (57th) scored the winners. Boston scored Connor Clifton (51).
Russian striker “Carolina” Andrey Svechnikov made two shots on target, had three power moves and scored no points.
