CAS disqualified triathlete Ryasova for two years
MOSCOW, September 20 – The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) has disqualified European triathlon championship medalist Valentina Ryasova for two years, according to the official website of the Russian Anti-Doping Agency (RUSADA).
In September 2022, the International Triathlon Federation suspended the athlete for six months for a violation under Art. 2.1 and art. 2.2 Anti-doping rules of the International Triathlon Federation.
Ryasova is 25 years old, she is the bronze medalist of the European Triathlon Championships in the mixed relay (2021) and the silver medalist of the speed triathlon in the individual category. Ryasova is also the winner of the All-Russian Spartakiad at the Olympic distance.
