St. Petersburg, August 26 – The players of St. Petersburg “Zenith” at home defeated the Yekaterinburg “Ural” in the match of the sixth round of the Russian Premier League (RPL).

The meeting in St. Petersburg ended with the score 4:0. Goals were scored by Ivan Sergeev (8th minute), Claudinho (45+1), Mateo Cassierra scored a double (30 and 68).

Cassier, who scored six goals in six matches this season, topped the list of top scorers in the RPL.

The current champion of Russia “Zenith” (13 points) climbed to second place in the standings. “Ural” (13 points) suffered the first defeat in the tournament, the team dropped to the third line. In the next round, the St. Petersburg club will play on the road with CSKA Moscow on September 3, and Ural will host Akhmat the day before.
