Chalov: he had a full-fledged training camp with Basel, so he joined the work without any problems
MOSCOW, 2 July – CSKA Moscow football player Fedor Chalov said that he easily managed to join the training process of the army team, as he had a full-fledged training camp with the Swiss Basel.
Chalov last season played for the Swiss “Basel” on loan. He made 16 appearances for the team, scoring 4 goals and providing 2 assists. The forward began preparations for the new season in Switzerland, as the lease agreement was valid until June 30. On Saturday, CSKA reported that Chalov joined the team at the training camp and held the first training session.
“It turned out to be a very difficult flight. I flew from Basel to Istanbul, there was a three-hour transfer, but the plane was delayed for another three hours. As a result, we landed in Moscow today only at nine in the morning. I had a full training session with Basel, so I joined the work without any problems So far, we decided to limit the load a little because of the long flight, but from tomorrow I will train fully. Physically I feel good, I will be ready for the season,” Chalov was quoted as saying by the official CSKA Telegram channel.
Chalov is 24 years old, he is a graduate of the army, he played 179 matches for CSKA, in which he scored 49 goals and 33 assists. In 2018, as part of the team, he became the owner of the Russian Super Cup, in the 2018/19 season with 15 goals he became the top scorer of the Russian Premier League.
