Cristiano Ronaldo, the legendary footballer who turns 40 in two months, has reportedly shown interest in Islam, sparking curiosity among fans worldwide.
Former Al-Nassr goalkeeper Waleed Abdullah made surprising revelations about Ronaldo’s behavior during training sessions, stating that Ronaldo would pause training whenever the call to prayer (Adhan) was heard, resuming only after it ended.

According to Waleed, Ronaldo has shown a deep respect for Islamic practices and even expressed a genuine interest in converting to Islam. “He truly supports Muslim players in performing their prayers and religious rituals,”
Waleed shared during a Saudi TV show interview. “Ronaldo sincerely wants to embrace Islam, and I’ve discussed it with him. He is very interested.”
This is not the first time Ronaldo’s admiration for Islamic values has been highlighted. Previously, Mesut Özil and Karim Benzema, both former teammates, mentioned Ronaldo’s fascination with Islamic principles.

However, contrasting views about Ronaldo’s personality have also surfaced. Former Real Madrid teammate Rafael van der Vaart described him as overly self-centered. “If we won 6-0 and Ronaldo didn’t score, he’d be upset. But if we lost a match and he scored, he’d be overjoyed,” Van der Vaart claimed.
