Czech Davidova won the mass start at the Summer Biathlon World Championships
MOSCOW, 27 Aug – Czech Marketa Davidova became the winner of the mass start at the Summer Biathlon World Championships, which takes place in Brezno-Osrblie (Slovakia).
Davidova covered the distance in 29 minutes 3 seconds, with one miss on four firing lines. Second was Estonia’s Tuuli Tomingas (8.1 seconds back, 2 misses). The third place was taken by the German Marion Wiesensarter (+12.1; 2).
The Congress of the International Biathlon Union (IBU) in September 2022 decided to uphold the suspension of Russian and Belarusian athletes from international competitions until further notice amid the situation in Ukraine.
