MOSCOW, 28 Jul – Manchester United striker Cristiano Ronaldo and his agent Jorge Mendes asked for an early termination of the contract at a meeting with the club’s management and were refused, according to the Daily Mail.
The Portuguese joined Manchester United on Tuesday after a three-week absence with Ronaldo accompanied by Mendes. Earlier media reported that Ronaldo wants to leave Manchester United due to the non-participation of the team in the Champions League.
According to the Daily Mail, the club’s management said that the player remains part of Manchester United’s plans, and that there were no specific transfer offers.
Ronaldo moved to Manchester United from Italian side Juventus in the summer of 2021. The player’s contract with the Mancunians runs until the summer of 2023 with the possibility of an extension for another season.
