Delhi Capitals spinner out of IPL, a new player added to the team

Delhi Capitals spinner Manimaran Siddharth has been ruled out of the IPL due to a quadriplegic strain and has been replaced by Kulwant Khejroliya. Left-arm pacer Kulwant Khejroliya had traveled to UAE with Delhi Capitals as a net bowler and was part of the Bio-Bubble. Now he has got a chance to be a part of the main team. It remains to be seen whether he gets a place in the final XI. There are many top spinners in Delhi’s team.

Delhi Capitals has said in a statement that the team’s support staff is looking into the recovery of Manimaran Siddharth. He will return to India in a few days to continue his rehabilitation programme. The Delhi Capitals franchise wishes him a speedy recovery.

Kulwant Khejroliya has got a chance to play for RCB team in IPL. He has been a part of RCB in the 2018 and 2019 IPL. However, he has not been able to do much in terms of performance. He has got only 3 wickets in 5 IPL matches played so far. He hasn’t got a chance in batting.

Delhi Capitals have been strengthened by the return of former captain Shreyas Iyer, who has recovered from a shoulder injury sustained during the limited-overs series against England at home earlier this year. Rishabh Pant got a chance to captain in the absence of Shreyas Iyer in the first phase of IPL. Rishabh Pant discharged his responsibility in the best way. Delhi won 6 times playing 8 matches and are at number one in the table with 12 points.

Chris Woakes will also not be in Delhi’s team. Australian player Ben Dwarshuis has been included in his place as a replacement. Chris Woakes has withdrawn his name from IPL keeping in mind the T20 World Cup. He probably wants to protect himself from some kind of injury.
