The leadership of the German Football League (DFL) informed the clubs of the first and second Bundesliga about the resumption of tournaments, interrupted due to the coronavirus pandemic, from May 15, reports Kicker.
German Chancellor Angela Merkel on Wednesday announced that the German football championship will be resumed in the second half of May. According to the source, the DFL sent letters to all 36 clubs for authorship of the head of the organization Christian Seifert on the date of the resumption of the competition.
“Taking into account all the arguments, the DFL Presidium decided to start the matches of the first and second Bundesliga again from May 15, 2020,” the letter says.
The leader of the German championship after 25 rounds is the Munich “Bavaria”, which with 55 points ahead of four Dortmund “Borussia” ahead by four points.
