Dragons are slain by Tigers’ maligned star, bringing Leilua redemption, See Video

When the Dragons and Wests Tigers meet at Win Stadium on Sunday, there’s a lot on the line.

St George Illawarra had been on a four-match winning streak before suffering back-to-back defeats.

The return of halfback and skipper Ben Hunt from a leg injury would help the Red V. As a result, Jack Bird will return to the centres after a week in the halves with coach Anthony Griffin.

One hour before kickoff, Josh McGuire was promoted to the starting lineup, while Tyrell Fuimaono was demoted to the bench.

The Red V have taken an early lead thanks to a Cody Ramsey try and the boot of Zac Lomax, who has gone off with a suspected broken leg.

For the Tigers, Tommy Talau replied before debutants Zac Cini and Joey Leilua followed him across the line.

On Anzac Day, the Tigers were thrashed 40-6 by Manly, and all eyes will be on how they bounce back.

With James Roberts ruled out, coach Michael Maguire has made one improvement to his backline. Zac Cini, a young gun who has wowed in the NSW Cup this season, will make his NRL debut.
