An easel with his portrait fell on Alexander Ovechkin during the honoring ceremony

MOSCOW, 27 April – The ceremony honoring the captain of “Washington” Alexander Ovechkin on the ice arena was not without oddities.
During the enumeration of the merits of the Russian striker, an easel with a picture of Ovechkin fell on the protagonist of the celebration. The striker himself escaped with only slight surprise.
In the course of the season, he took third place in the list of the best snipers in the history of the NHL, the leader of which is Canadian Wayne Gretzky (894 goals in 1487 matches). In total, the 36-year-old Russian scored 780 goals in his overseas career.
